Contest Specifics:

1. Your song must be original and performed by you.
2. All music genres are welcome.
3. 1 song only @ 5 minutes or less.
4. There are two age categories: 13-18 years of age ($500 prize) & 12 years of age and under ($350 prize). Each category will have an honorable mention.
5. All contestants plus 1 guest get into MeadowGrass free on May 26. We also offer half-price weekend tickets to contestants immediate family.
6. All submissions will be anonymous to the judges. Each judge will receive copies of the recordings without personal identifying information. Please do not introduce yourself in the video. Stating the name of your song is great though.
7. Judges will receive a scoring sheet for use in evaluation. Your song will be judged on the following categories: melody, lyrics, originality, and overall effect.
8. The questions on the contest form must be answered and submitted with your song. These questions will not be included in the judges evaluation and are for organizational purposes only.
9. The entry deadline is April 25, 2023.
10. If you are chosen as one of the front runners you will need to be prepared to perform on the main stage at MeadowGrass. We provide sound and tech support, but not instruments.
