Rules

Know the rules.

When in doubt, consider the Festival Code of Conduct: RESPECT the safety and comfort of your fellow Festivarians and look out for each other.

Gates open at 10:00am each day. No entry after 9 pm.

RULE COMPLIANCE: Failure to comply with festival policies/rules may result in removal from the festival without a refund.

FESTIVAL RE-ENTRY: Please keep your wristband(s) on at all times. There is no re-entry without the proper wristband, and wristbands cannot be replaced if removed or damaged.

PARKING: If you are camping in General or Premium Camping you must display your parking pass on your windshield while you are on the La Foret property. Vehicles without a valid parking pass will be towed. Once your vehicle is parked in General or Premium Camping, it may not be moved, other than to leave the property. There is no driving back and forth from the general campsite to the festival meadow. If you are not staying overnight you do not need a parking pass. Be sure to follow the signs and park in designated parking spaces only. Our volunteers will be happy to direct you.

PETS: Pets are not permitted at MeadowGrass, with the exception of trained service animals.

SMOKING: Rocky Mountain Highway and La Foret are committed to producing a safe and family-friendly MeadowGrass Music Festival. Smoking on the festival grounds (including the camping area) is restricted to designated smoking areas only. Please dispose of cigarette butts in the appropriate containers. There is no smoking allowed inside anybuildings. This includes cabins, yurts, bathroom facilities and all other buildings. Smoking of electronic and vapor devices is permitted on the festival grounds in designated smoking areas, away from families. Please help us protect the forest from fire danger and our children from exposure to second-hand smoke by obeying these rules.

CANNABIS: Although it is now legal to purchase and consume cannabis products privately in Colorado, the use of marijuana in public remains illegal. Therefore, public consumption of marijuana or any other illegal drug is prohibited at La Foret. Please be mindful of this and respect those around you.

FIRE: All campfires, cooking fires and open fires are prohibited at La Foret. Propane cook stoves and propane campfires are permitted.

WEATHER: MeadowGrass is held each year, rain or shine. No refunds will be given for any weather-related cancellation or problem. Springtime weather in the Rockies is notoriously unpredictable – you may encounter rain, sun, wind or even some snow. We recommend that you come prepared with sunscreen, a rain jacket and warm clothing for nighttime. Dress in layers!

SEATING: Chairs are not provided at MeadowGrass. You are welcome to bring your own blankets and camp chairs, but we ask that any high-clearance chairs (i.e. if a basketball can fit underneath) be placed in the middle or back of the meadow. Low chairs are permitted closer to the front, but please do your part to make sure you are not blocking the view of the people behind you. 10×10 pop up tents are NOT permitted in the Meadow this year. Sunshades no taller than 5 feet are welcome and must be secure. All seating and equipment (chairs, blankets, shade tents, etc.) must be removed each night. The Meadow will be ready for you to set up by 8:00am Saturday and Sunday. Be advised, our festival goers love to dance so be sure to leave space at the front for the dance floor!

CAMPING: please visit our Camping page for details on camping.

SHADE TENTS / CHAIRS: All shade tents and chairs must be removed each night. The Meadow is not open until 8:00am. This allows our Waste Wise Team a chance to clean the Meadow and get those trash and recycle bins ready for festival fun. Please do not bring your shade tent or chair for set up until 8:00am. We will have to remove it from the Meadow if you do. Please remember, shade tents can not be taller than 5′ and need to be set up behind the chair section.

LODGING: Off-site lodging may be available near I-25 at the Interquest Parkway and Monument exits or in Colorado Springs.

THE FARICY BOYS KIDS ZONE: We have some fun things in the works for the kiddos during the MeadowGrass Music Festival. There’s always the big open meadow where kids can play and run around as well as arts and crafts giant bubbles, the Cheyenne Mt. Zoo Mobile, workshops, and more. The Kid Zone is meant to be enjoyed alongside your children. It is not a substitute for child care and is not staffed with child-care professionals. You are solely responsible for your child’s well being. You are asked to supervise your children at all times while on the La Foret property, including inside the Faricy Boys Kid Zone.

LOST AND FOUND: Please go to the MeadowGrass merchandise tent to inquire about lost or found items.

OUTSIDE FOOD AND BEVERAGE: Outside alcohol is absolutely prohibited within the main festival grounds as a requirement of our special event permit and liquor license. Food and non-alcoholic beverages may be brought into the festival grounds. The only coolers allowed are small six-pack sized coolers, out of respect for our food vendors.

Our food vendors offer a diverse selection of delicious food and beverages to suit all diets including vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free. We encourage you to sample their offerings. Glass containers (with the exception of official MeadowGrass souvenir mugs) are prohibited on the festival grounds. All bags, coolers, etc., are subject to search.

ALCOHOL: You will be required to show proper identification to purchase alcoholic beverages – please drink responsibly. Alcohol purchased at the festival may not leave the festival grounds. If you have pre- purchased a MeadowGrass Beer Mug, you can redeem that at the Alcohol Tent.

WATER: Complimentary drinking water is available in the Meadow near the Vendor Village. Please bring your own reusable water bottle to refill and make sure to stay hydrated throughout the weekend. If you are coming from a lower elevation, it is especially important that you stay hydrated. Our Vendors do not sell bottled water.
