La Foret, Black Forest, Colorado
“We provide sanctuary for all to consider the transcendent issues of life.”
Nestled in the heart of Black Forest, La Foret is the perfect rustic getaway for our music festival. The open grassy meadow, perfect for games and group activities, showcases amazing views of Pikes Peak and the Rocky Mountains.
The property was originally the summer estate of Mrs. Alice Bemis Taylor and her husband Frederick Morgan Pike Taylor, two of the most well-known names in our region’s history. Many structures have been built on the property, and two are listed on the National Register of Historic Places – Taylor Memorial Chapel and the Ponderosa Lodge. Both buildings have meaningful roles in our festival’s heritage, as we’ve carefully curated one-of-a-kind events in both buildings over the years.
