Imagine being front row, in a local living room, enjoying a Grammy award-winning musician right here in Colorado Springs. That is the experience that concert-goers have at Friends House Concerts, our 16 year-old concert series on the west side of town. The venue sprang up in 2000 when musician Erika Luckett looked at the long upstairs room in her brother’s home and said that we had two choices: a bowling alley or house concerts. We chose the concerts!Friends House Concerts brings in roughly six nationally touring artists per season and Marc and Whitney Luckett open their home to the public. Guests bring appetizers and beverages to share and everyone enjoys an intimate concert AND a chance to interact with the artists after the show. There is nothing like the power of live music and stories from the road presented in a living room with your favorite artist only a few feet away from you. Artists appreciate the venue because the audiences are respectful of the musicians and all the proceeds go directly to the artists. Join us up on the hill for truly remarkable evenings.

Community Partnerships and Local Concerts
Building community through live music
In addition to MeadowGrass, Rocky Mountain Highway has been actively involved in producing live music events throughout the Pikes Peak Region in partnership with local businesses and non-profits.
For the past five years we have worked with Edelweiss German Restaurant to produce a SommerFest featuring authentic German music, food and beer. New this year we are partnering with the Boredom Fighters to bring hands on music workshops to all ages during the MeadowGrass Music Festival in 2020.
Root Center for Yoga and Sacred Studies is a long time partner of Rocky Mountain Highway, offering yoga sessions Saturday and Sunday during the MeadowGrass Festival. In the meantime look for upcoming dates to experience yoga with live music at the Root studio. Lastly, Stay tuned for new music projects in conjunction with the Black Rose Acoustic Society, Friends House Concerts, and Road to MeadowGrass.
