Guitar whisperer, Willy Porter, returns to the Luckett’s living room on Sunday, April 9th. His playing is incredible and showmanship ALWAYS entertaining. Willy has been a regular here for over a decade for an obvious reason – he is a world class artist. It’s always helpful to see what the critics say about him:
“Thank goodness he doesn’t play the flute.“
— Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull
“Porter is a dazzling acoustic guitarist with a moody baritone…“
— The Washington Post
“Willy plays rhythms that make me want to crawl inside his guitar and sleep there forever.“
— Tori Amos
“Willy Porter captures the street corner ethic of acoustic performance perfectly.“
— The Village Voice
I SO echo Tori Amos’ comment! For us – he will always be the intense friend that shows up yearly to grace the house with music and conversation and leaves us anticipating next year’s show. There is no better way to start the week – Sunday night with Willy!
All our guests bring beverages and/or an appetizer to share. Doors open 45 minutes prior to the concert. See you up on the hill!
