A Full Moon Whole Foods Cafe Concert Next Wednesday!

Howl at the Moon – Next Wednesday at Whole Foods!

Please join us for the inaugural Whole Foods Cafe Concert featuring The Reckless Saints, presented by Rocky Mountain Highway on Wednesday, May 10, the night of the Full Moon!

Songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Roy Schneider has been touring and performing full-time with musical partner Kim Mayfield since 2008, sharing his “Blue-Twangled Folk & Roll” across America and abroad, at venues including the 30A Songwriters Festival, the Kerrville Folk Festival, Nashville’s Bluebird Cafe, and NBC‘s The Voice. Roy is also a gifted accompanist and has performed onstage with John McEuen, Tom Paxton and Joe Craven, among others. Here are some videos of Roy and Kim performing three songs from their four studio albums: “Dancin’ on the Mountain,” “Angels Along the Road,” and “Poison Arrow.”

Your $25 ticket will get you a BBQ dinner (vegan option available), a branded glass, one beverage of your choice (beer, wine and soft drinks) and the show, in an intimate setting with a fantastic view of Pikes Peak! Additional drinks will also be available for purchase. Seating for dinner begins at 6 pm with two sets of music starting at 7 pm. Only 50 tickets are available!

“Roy Schneider is a singer-songwriter in the grandest tradition of Steve Earle, Lucinda Williams, Guy Clark, and Lyle Lovett, but his voice, songwriting skill, stagecraft, and instrumental talent are all his own. Together, the result is like a vibrant jubilee singing out on the banks of the Mississippi River.”

It’s hard to believe that the 9th Annual MeadowGrass Music Festival is just over three weeks away at this point, Friday, May 26 to Sunday, May 28 at the beautiful La Foret Conference & Retreat Center in Black Forest! As always, our friend Jessica Patterson of Root Center for Yoga and Sacred Studies will be leading yoga classes on Saturday and Sunday morning during the weekend for a $10 suggested donation. Jessica has been practicing and discovering yoga for more than 22 years and teaches yoga workshops and retreats nationally and internationally.  Read more about Jessica’s journey here.

To celebrate our longstanding partnership with Jessica we are again offering a special RootGrass Pass (at the Eventbrite.com ticket page, scroll down to the end of the ticket products). Root offers Yoga as complete sadhana (asana, breathwork, meditation, bhakti, and restorative); Yoga Therapy (individual and group work integrating the practices of yoga in a therapeutic manner to support addiction/recovery, cancer, grief, depression/anxiety, chronic pain conditions, and more); Nutrition Therapy, Pre-Natal and Post-Natal, and spiritual support.

The RootGrass Pass includes one Weekend – General Admission (No Camping) pass to MeadowGrass plus a voucher for four (4) yoga classes at Root Center for Yoga and Sacred Studies! The Weekend Pass (No Camping) admits one person (age 13 and older) to the MeadowGrass Music Festival for the weekend but does not include overnight privileges.  Each vehicle entering the property must ALSO possess a valid Weekend Vehicle (General Parking) pass or other parking sticker (purchase separately).
