The Give! Campaign Cometh
As you may have heard, Rocky Mountain Highway was honored to be included in a distinguished group of local non-profits in the Give! Class of 2015. From November 1 through the end of the year, you can make a tax-deductible donation to Rocky Mountain Highway and receive cool perks and benefits to reward your generosity! This very newsletter is produced by Rocky Mountain Highway on an absolute shoestring budget and this is, in fact, the 70th newsletter since we started up. If you appreciate the effort that we put into the e-blast week after week, we would be ever so grateful for your support.
As an added bonus, the first $2,250 donated to Rocky Mountain Highway via the Give! program will be matched by generous grants we received from our friends at Edelweiss German Restaurant, The Faricy Boys Jeep Chrysler, the Rocky Mountain Highway Board of Directors, and an anonymous donor. We are also eligible to receive additional funds if we can garner the largest number of donations in our category between November 1 and November 11 or attract the most donors aged 18-36. You can make your contribution to Rocky Mountain Highway on-line at the Give! website, and mark your calendars now to find us at this year’s Fall Concert Series and make your donation in person.
FALL CONCERT SERIES (Our donors can pick up MeadowGrass perks at each event.)
Saturday, November 14: 2nd Annual Dance for Peace at the Ivywild School. We are honored to be participating in this event along with our fellow Give! non-profits the Pikes Peak Justice and Peace Commission, Seeds Community Cafe and KCMJ. Dance the night away to the reggae vibes of Mo’ Mungus in the gymnasium at Ivywild. Admission is free with a $25 minimum suggested donation to the participating non-profits.
Friday, November 20: Eilen Jewell at Friends House Concerts
If you haven’t yet attended a concert at the home of Marc and Whitney Luckett, this Signature Sounds recording artist will be an amazing way to start. Eilen’s only other scheduled performance in Colorado is in Denver. Join us in the Lucketts’ living room for a magical concert experience.
Thursday, December 10: Willy Porter at Friends House Concerts
This dynamic guitarist and songwriter has been wowing audiences for more than 25 years and has released ten full-length albums. This show will surely sell out.
Sunday, December 13: The Snow Ball featuring the Americana-jam band Yarn
Rocky Mountain Highway winds up the Give! event season at a venue to be determined.

You may remember Yarn from their high energy set at MeadowGrass in 2011. We first brought them to Colorado and we’re psyched that they would travel all this way to help us raise money for local music. Incentives and door prizes are in the making for anyone who donates to Rocky Mountain Highway or our non-profit partner, The Friends of the Manitou Springs Incline.
More details on all of these shows will be forthcoming soon.
In the meantime here are some suggestions for this spooky week:
Remember – your gift of $10 or more to Rocky Mountain Highway through the Give! campaign will help us continue to grow the roots music community in southern Colorado via the MeadowGrass Music Festival, the Grass Roots Revival radio show, the Pikes Peak Concert Calendar, this weekly e-blast and our other worthy activities.
On your mark, get set, GIVE!
