Saturday:  Gates Open at 9:30 a.m.

Sunday:  Gates Open at 9:30 a.m.

FESTIVAL ENTRY: With the exception of children aged 12 and younger, EVERY person entering La Foret must have a valid ticket with a bar code to be scanned at the entrance or an authorized wristband (for re-entry).  This includes vendors, volunteers, staff and artists.  If you do not have a valid ticket, you must purchase one or you will be turned away at the front gate.  Children age 12 and younger must be accompanied by a paid adult.  Please keep your wristband(s) on at all times. There is no re-entry without the proper wristband.

PARKING: Parking on-site is extremely limited this year due to our efforts to preserve the central meadow at La Foret.  All vehicles should come to the La Foret entrance off Shoup Road to check in at the front gate.  Every paid attendee will receive a wristband at the front gate.  Vehicles that have paid for parking will receive a window sticker and be directed to the next available parking space by La Foret staff.  Vehicles that are taking advantage of the free parking option will receive a window sticker and a map directing them to remote parking.  The remote parking lot will be located at the other side of La Foret, about a 15 minute walk away from the festival grounds.  Vehicles with free parking may drop passengers and gear at the front gate before going to the remote parking lot.  You must display your parking pass on your windshield while you are on the La Foret property.  Vehicles without a valid parking pass will be towed.  Once your vehicle is parked it may not be moved unless you leave the property.  To find a rideshare option, we recommend that you visit http://www.musicfestivalnation.com/festivals/meadowgrass-music-festival/events/396, click on the green “rideshare” button.

CONTEST WINNERS: Promotional tickets awarded by our partners such as KRCC, KCME, KRXP, the Colorado Springs Independent and Bristol Brewing do not normally come with paid parking privileges.  If you won tickets through one of these sources and they did not give you a parking pass, you will either need to purchase a parking pass or use the free remote parking option.

PETS: Pets are not permitted at MeadowGrass, with the exception of qualified service animals.  Please contact us in advance at info@rockymountainhighway.org or (719) 776-9800 if you plan to bring a service animal to the festival.

GATES:  The front gates will open at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, May 22 for vendors (with a valid parking pass) to come in and set up.  Campers may enter the property (with a valid parking pass) at 9:00 a.m. on Friday May 23, and non-campers may enter beginning at noon.  The gates will open at 9:30 a.m. to everyone on the mornings of Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24.  No entry is permitted after 9:00 p.m.

EARLY ENTRY: Volunteers who work at least three four-hour shifts and thus qualify for camping, vendors and volunteers are eligible for early entry on Thursday, May 21 after 4:00 p.m.  Eligible parties may drive on to the La Foret property to set up camp Thursday night; however, vehicles without a valid weekend parking pass must be moved to remote parking by 9:00 p.m. Thursday evening.  Everyone present on-site Thursday night is invited to come to a special concert in Inglis Hall featuring Edith Makes A Paperchain and Miette Hope.  This concert is BYOB.

SMOKING: Rocky Mountain Highway and La Foret are committed to producing a safe and family-friendly MeadowGrass Music Festival.  Smoking in the Festival Grounds as well as in the camping area is restricted to Designated Smoking Areas only. Please dispose of cigarette butts in the appropriate containers. There is no smoking inside any buildings. This includes cabins, yurts, bathroom facilities and all other buildings. No smoking is permitted under the Festival tent at any time, including electronic cigarettes and vapor devices.  Smoking of electronic and vapor devices is permitted on the festival grounds in designated smoking areas, away from families. Although it is now legal to purchase and consume cannabis products privately in Colorado, the use of marijuana in public remains illegal.  Therefore, the public consumption of marijuana or any other illegal drug is prohibited at La Foret.  Please be mindful of this and respect those around you. Failure to comply with Festival policies may result in removal from the Festival without refund.  Please help us protect the forest from fire danger and our children from exposure to second-hand smoke by obeying these rules.

FIRE: All campfires, cooking fires and open fires are prohibited at La Foret.  Propane cook stoves and propane campfires are permitted.

WEATHER: MeadowGrass is held each year, rain or shine.  No refunds will be given for any weather-related cancellation or problem.  Springtime weather in the Rockies is notoriously unpredictable – you may encounter rain, sun, wind or even some snow.  We recommend that you come prepared with sun-screen, a rain jacket and warm clothing for night time.  Dress in layers!

SEATING: Chairs are not provided at MeadowGrass.  You are welcome to bring your own blankets and camp chairs, but we ask that any high-clearance chairs (i.e., if a basketball can fit underneath) be placed only at the back of the main festival tent.  Low chairs are permitted closer to the front, but please do your part to make sure that you are not blocking the view of the people behind you.  Tents are not permitted in the main festival tent.

CAMPING: Each camper who presents a valid weekend pass with camping will receive a wristband that authorizes his or her right to remain on the property overnight. If you do not have a camping wristband, you will not be permitted to stay overnight.  This year campers are not permitted to park vehicles next to their camp sites.  If you have a valid parking pass you will be directed to a designated parking space as close to the camping area as possible.

LODGING: Off-site lodging is available near Interstate 25 at the Interquest Parkway and Monument exits.

RVs:  RV passes are sold out.  Only five RV spots were available.  Camper vans that are 18’ or less in length are allowed at La Foret.  If you wish to sleep in your qualifying camper van, you must first purchase a weekend pass with camping for yourself (and any person 13 or older who is staying with you), and then purchase a weekend parking pass.  Please be advised that campers are not permitted to park in the woods by the tents this year, so your vehicle would be parked in one of the designated parking places. There is no guarantee that your car will be parked near the camping area.

OUTSIDE FOOD AND BEVERAGEOutside alcohol is absolutely prohibited within the main festival grounds as a requirement of our special event permit.  Food and non-alcoholic beverages may be brought into the festival grounds, but coolers are prohibited out of respect for our food vendors.  Our vendors offer a diverse selection of delicious foods and beverages and we encourage you to sample their offerings.  You will be required to show proper identification to purchase alcoholic beverages – please drink responsibly. Alcohol purchased at the festival may not leave the festival grounds.  Glass containers (with the exception of official MeadowGrass souvenir mugs) are prohibited on the festival grounds.

WATER: Complimentary drinking water is available at stations located on the main festival grounds.  Please feel free to bring your own water bottle to fill, and make sure to stay hydrated throughout the weekend.  If you are coming from a lower elevation, it is especially important that you stay hydrated.

FIRST AID:  The first aid booth is located in the main festival grounds and available to meet any first aid needs while the main stage is operating.  After hours, please find a security officer or dial 911 if you are in need of immediate medical attention.

WEAPONS: Violence and weapons of any type, including firearms, are absolutely prohibited at MeadowGrass.

SECURITY: Our security personnel are authorized to remove any person who violates the rules of the festival.  If you have an issue with any of your fellow Festivarians, please inform our security team or any of our volunteers.  We reserve the right to eject any person who in our judgment is creating a security or safety risk at any time.

ICE: Ice is available for purchase outside the Dining Hall from 10 a.m. to noon each day.

PUBLICITY IMAGES: Rocky Mountain Highway reserves the right to take publicity photographs and video footage of the festival and/or the individuals who are present at the festival.  Each person entering La Foret to attend the MeadowGrass Music Festival in any capacity is deemed to have consented to our right to use his or her photographic or video likeness or image for promotional and/or publicity purposes I print, television and internet advertisements, brochures, and the like.

YOGA: Yoga classes led by Jessica Patterson will be held each morning (Saturday and Sunday) in the Ponderosa Lodge beginning at 9:30 a.m. for a $10 suggested donation.

MUSIC WORKSHOPS: Afternoon workshops from some of the festival artists will be held in the Ponderosa Lodge on Saturday and Sunday.

LATE NIGHT SHOWS: Late night shows will be staged in Inglis Hall each evening after the main stage closes.  The doors will open approximately 15 minutes after the last act finishes, or roughly 10:30 p.m.  Only campers staying on the property overnight are permitted to attend the late night shows.   There is no charge for the late night shows.

When in doubt, consider the Festival Code of Conduct:  RESPECT the safety and comfort of your fellow Festivarians and look out for each other!
